November 16 – 22, 2019
The Library is open for self-service and browsing whenever the Community Center is open.
The Community Center wants to know what you think about our open hours! We have a very short survey that we’d love for you to fill out. Thanks! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9H56GZQ
On Saturday we’re open 9am- 12. We’ll have our favorite cheese scones and our new favorite gluten-free chocolate brownies.
On Sunday, Marlboro Meeting House’s Thanksgiving service takes place at 4pm. All are welcome. Scripture readings will be Psalm 100 and John 6: 25-35, and Pastor Michael Mario will offer a reflection on the readings. We’ll sing the hymns “We Gather Together,” “Now Thank We All Our God,” and “My God, I Thank Thee, Who Hast Made,” with Pastor Michael accompanying on the guitar. Non-perishable food items for the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry will be gratefully accepted. There is a chair ride upstairs to the Sanctuary.
Monday, we have Craft Night at 6.30pm.
Tuesday, we have Strong Living at 3.30pm. Then at 7pm, Tuesday Movies! This week we have ‘Casablanca’, starring Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart! IMDB says “A cynical American expatriate struggles to decide whether or not he should help his former lover and her fugitive husband escape French Morocco.” The showing is free and open to everyone, and we’d love you to make a donation to the Community Center if you feel able to. See the full schedule of Tuesday Movies at https://marlborocommunity.center/events/film-club-features/ or pick up a paper copy at the Center.
We’ll be open 10am – 5pm on Wednesday, with our baked goods and delicious soup and something special from Lauren after 2pm. The knitting and rug-hooking group meets at 2pm. Yoga with Casey starts at 6.30pm.
Thursday there’s Sunrise Yoga with Casey at 6.30am. We’ll be open 10am – 2pm as usual. Strong Living meets at 3.30pm. Tai Ji will start at 4.30pm.
Friday we’ll be open 10 – 2pm.
We will be having a Winter Bazaar and Maker Fair on Saturday, December 7 in conjunction with MES and we’re inviting local makers to come sell their creations. Last year we had people selling maple syrup, re-purposed vintage books, hot sauce, wooden toys and art. Would you like to be involved this year, or do you know someone who would? Get in touch with me (Gemma) at email@example.com
