Marlboro Town Library
Wednesday 8am - 6pm
Thursday 10am - 2pm
Friday 10am - 2pm
Saturday 10am - 12pm
Marlboro Town Library is open for browsing & self-checkout when the Community Center is open. Additionally, the library is staffed by volunteers most Saturdays from 10am – 12pm, with some exceptions.
Checking Out Books
You can check out books at any time, not only when the library is staffed. If you have a library account (see the next section for more information), checking out is simple. On the sign-out sheet on the library desk, write (legibily!):
-
Your full name
-
The title of the book
-
The last 4 digits of the barcode pasted to the back of the book
-
Today’s date.
We’ll enter the book into our check-out computer for you.
Books may be borrowed for up to 3 weeks. Please return them promptly so that others may enjoy them.
Returning Books
Please return books to the crate outside the library door. Books can be returned at any time, not only when the library is open or staffed.
Becoming a Library Patron
Any full- or part-time Marlboro resident is welcome to become a patron of the Marlboro library. This will allow you to check out books.
To become a patron, use the sign-up sheet on the library door. Just write down your name, phone number, and email address and we’ll create a library account for you. You’ll receive a confirmation email when your account is set up.
You may check out library books after signing up on the library door, before receiving your confirmation email.
Contacting Us and Requesting Books
Email us if you would like us to hold a book for you (we’ll do our best!) or if you have suggestions for titles you would like to see on the shelves. Books can also be suggested/requested on the Wish List on library door.
For the latest information, the Marlboro Library regularly posts updates and book reviews to the Marlboro town Facebook page. The library also has a Facebook page.
Health & Safety
Masking at the library follows the policy of the Community Center, where we are located. Masks are currently optional. There is hand sanitizer at the Community Center entrance.
Please maintain appropriate social distancing. The library space is very small and should not have more than a few people in it at the same time.
Wee Free Libraries
We also have several Wee Free Libraries around town:
-
In front of the Town Office
-
At the Elementary School (temporarily unavailable)
No card is needed for the Wee Free Libraries,
just take a book or bring a book.

The Marlboro Library regularly posts updates and book reviews on our Facebook page.
